As a kid in growing up in the 80's, I had a passion for music. I would listen to hours of music each week and dance to hours of music each weekend. I always envied the DJs at the events i attended because they always seemed to know what we needed to hear to make our night memorable. I knew then that music would be a part of my life forever. Through my teenage years and young adulthood my knowledge of music grew broader. I began to remember what the DJ's of my past had done for me, and I decided that it was my turn to pay it forward. I began by DJ-ing small events for family and friends. I was just getting my feet wet at the time, so i didn't charge for my time, just the rental of equipment. My first experiences were nerve racking, but i was able to excite the crowd with my music selection and crude mixing skills. I went on to DJ at other events spurratically... christmas parties, house parties, etc... My skills were improving, but it is rough to make it as an amateur DJ when you have equipment rentals to pay. So, in the summer of 2015 i purchased my own sound system. Gone were the days of renting! My early successes (combined with the new found need to pay off my new equipment) meant making DJing an bigger priority & inspired me to get my name out more and become the DJ i am today. Since then I have DJ'd for crowds in the hundreds at major events. I hope that my next one might be yours!
